Beaverton, Oregon --An Evening with Holly Gwinn Graham

The event was co-sponsored by The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), The Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space, the Mission Ministry (social action) Committee of the church, Alliance for Democracy and Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility.

Holly spoke and sang about the dangers & foolhardiness of current US plans to rule the earth from space with nuclear-based lasers (known as Star Wars) and Theatre Missile Defense. Holly is on the national advisory board of the Global Network, and has sung for them on space issues since 1996. She shared original songs including They're Planning a War in Space and Follow the Money

Holly is pictured here with her own sci-fi gun and three books that illustrate the unfortunate addiction to war of too many of our national leaders and fellow citizens. They include Vision 2020, issued by the Space Command, that explains in simple form the militaristic vision now driving the Pentagon and the military industrial complex. WILPF believes this vision is threatening our own democracy, the environment of our planet and the future of the human race. All three books are available from Global Network and/or WILPF.
